This past Saturday, folks from each of TreasureField’s house churches, plus a few additional recruits caravanned to a Habitat for Humanity build site in Denver.  The site we worked on was two duplexes side by side.  Among us, we nailed up blue-board insulation, installed staircases, and helped put on the first layer of the roofs.

One of the homeowners-to-be was there, and it was cool to work alongside her on her new home.  “Missy” is excited to get her two young children out of their current substandard housing and into a decent, affordable home in a safe neighborhood.

We were hot, tired, and sore after a full day’s hard work, but it felt so good to put feet to our words and actually invest in our community in a tangible way.

We’re going to continue to search out ways to serve.  Please pray that these projects will lead to opportunities to share the life-giving message of the gospel.

Special thanks to those who have made a donation on our behalf.  We didn’t meet our fundraising goal, but thanks to the sacrificial giving of people in TreasureField and those of you who donated online, we’ll be giving Habitat over $1,000!  Thank you for your help.  If you’d still like to contribute, here’s how you can.
