Thanks to a summer internship program at Oklahoma Wesleyan University, we are now enjoying the company of recent grad, Nate Rusk, and upcoming sophomore, Laura McNeil.  They’re here for two months of organic church immersion.  And yard work.  (Come on, be honest: if you had interns, you’d get them to do your yard work, too.)

Nate and Laura are fitting right in with us here at TreasureField, and we are blessed to have some young, energetic blood infused into our group.  (At the last minute, we–meaning Marty–decided to welcome Nate by ambushing him with large cupfuls of water, immediately followed by large cupfuls of flour.  He took it amazingly well.  Although now that I think about it, I haven’t seen him wear that shirt since.  I did not allow Marty to plan an ambush for Laura.)  They are both ready and willing to serve the needs of the people of Denver as well as doing whatever they can to help out the families of TreasureField.

They are sinking their teeth into this model of church, and we’re excited to see what kind of harvest their time here produces.  They are working and praying toward starting a young adults house church in Nate’s condo, so please pray for them.
